Cordelia in Shodo by Marrikur Design Studio
Collaborating with Marrikur Design Studio's artistic interpretations from oil painted originals are translated onto silks and Tencel fabrics and upholstered into paired back forms.
The collaboration is a celebration of unique skills and master craftsman techniques.
The artworks are first hand painted, then digitally printed on Tencel silk which is derived from wood grown from renewable, sustainably managed forests rather than using fabrics that have a high-water usage in their production processes.
Other fabrics and artworks can be commissioned to specification, so please do get in touch if you have a design scheme in mind.
The cabinetry is handcrafted from lacquered ash wood and fine upholstered in sumptuous fabrics and beautifully accented with brass handles, brass door frames and a choice of solid ash or brass legs
For its natural flames and character, we use crown-cut ash, which is lacquered to enhance the beauty of its grain. Each piece of ash is unique and acts in striking contrast to artistic interpretation that adorn the fascia of the piece.
Conscious of our impact on the environment, we use only FSC- regulated timber, ensuring that every time a tree is felled, one is planted in its place and every step of the production journey is considered in terms of impact.
