Green with Envy
As one of the most on trend colours of 2021, green has been dominating the fashion catwalks and interiors since early Spring. Farrow & Ball predicted this colour trend at the end of 2020, with their Sap Green as one of the most recommended colours to bring into interiors. In fashion, many designers have been betting on shades and tones of green all year, from rich emerald greens to more muted tones, and it seems that they have succeeded.
Green is said to have a positive impact, some call it "a colour of happiness", and evokes the feeling of abundance, security and growth.
Some designers such as Sara Battaglia have embraced green in combination with black and white. This monochromatic - green pairing can be also seen on our newly released Green Zebra Butterfly pattern, created from the original print by the fashion duo - Felder Felder.
Re-imagined into a beautiful pattern, and translated onto our Betty sideboard and Cordelia cabinet, the Green Zebra Butterfly print was heavily influenced by Berlin in the sixties where sex, rock n roll, politics and glamour coexisted in radical form.
“We were inspired by Uschi Obermaier who was a German model, sex symbol, political radical, writer and internationally renowned good time girl with hunger for life. The butterfly print translates the freedom of movement and free spirit.”

Both handcrafted furniture pieces feature oak veneer frame with solid oak legs in dark lacquered finish to emphasise the natural beauty of the grain. The pattern itself is translated onto a luxurious silk-cotton blend, before being skilfully fine upholstered onto each piece, giving it a lustrous and smooth to the touch feel.
As an environmentally conscious company, we use only FSC-regulated timber, which means that every time a tree is felled, one is planted in its place.
