THE CREATIVE JOURNEY
Every furniture piece starts its journey in our London studio where we sketch, draw and design its shape, considering every practical and technical detail of furniture making. We take pride in choosing the right pattern for each shape in order to achieve a unique upholstered piece suited for the 21st century. Consideration is given to the environment too, with the aim of reducing waste during production and by choosing materials which respect our planet.
We use crown-cut ash as our primary material for the construction of our furniture. Its distinct flames and character are lacquered to enhance its natural beauty - each ash is unique and acts as a striking contrast to the fabric patterns we curate.
During the manufacture of our furniture, the pattern is digitally printed in England onto the silk blend fabric, prized in haute-couture circles for its vibrancy and depth of colour, then sent to the Shamsian Studio where it is cut and applied within the frames of gold plated aluminium or ash veneer.
Each piece features handles, decorative details and legs crafted in solid brass complementing the beauty of the ash and the luxurious sheen of the fabric.
All of our furniture can be customised to the requirements of our clients. The upholstered elements can be refreshed to blend with a new interior scheme, adding to the longevity and sustainability of the piece.
